Cancellation and changes
Cancel at least 24 hours before the start and you get a full refund, back on your card in 5 to 7 working days. After that, or if you don't show up, there's no refund. If the weather turns bad, we offer you a new date.
How far is the drive to the dunes?
About 50 minutes from central Dubai, though traffic and your pickup address can change that. The morning safari goes to the Lahbab red dunes, the same desert our evening and Lahbab safaris use.
Can we add a quad or dirt bike ride to the morning safari?
Yes, when you book. A 30-minute quad ride costs from AED 150, and dirt bikes and buggies cost more; you see each price before you pay. You ride at Lahbab during the safari, in a riding circle or out on the open desert. A ride doesn't change your return time.
Is a morning desert safari too hot in summer?
It can be. Visit Dubai puts the city's average at 34 to 36°C from June to September, and the desert is hot well before midday. Wear a hat and sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and tell us if anyone in your group struggles in the heat. November to March is milder, and cool enough at 8 AM to bring a layer.
Morning or evening desert safari: which should I book?
Both drive the Lahbab red dunes, with dune bashing, sandboarding and a camel ride. The morning takes about four hours in your own car, and you're back around midday. The evening runs about six and a half hours and adds sunset, a camp BBQ dinner and live shows. For one or two guests, its shared seats cost less.
Do we pay for the car or for each guest?
For the car. One price covers your own 4×4 and driver for up to six, so children and babies cost nothing extra. Each of them still needs a seat. Two guests pay the same as six, and seven or more need a second car.
Is breakfast included in the morning safari?
No. Apart from drinking water there's no food or drink on this trip, so have breakfast before your 8 AM pickup. You're back around midday, in time for lunch.
Can we bring a baby or toddler on the morning safari?
Yes, but tell us every child's age before you book: dune bashing is a rough, jolting ride. Anyone who is pregnant, has back or neck problems, has had recent surgery or gets motion sick should skip the dune bashing, so tell us and we'll check whether sitting it out or another trip suits your group. Each child, babies included, takes one of the six seats at no extra cost. Child seats are free; ask us on WhatsApp before your trip.

The evening safari adds sunset, a camp dinner and shows, with seats in a shared 4×4. The overnight trip adds a night at a retreat, and the private safari gives you your own 4×4 for the dunes, then dinner at a premium camp.
