Overview
How the evening works
Pickup is mid-afternoon, then about 50 minutes out of the city to the Lahbab red dunes. The first hour is the loud part: tyres let down, the 4×4 climbing and sliding over the sand, then sandboarding on an open slope. After the sunset stop the pace drops. A short camel ride at the camp, dinner off the grill, and five shows while you eat.
AED 149 per guest. You see the full AED total for your date, pickup and group before you pay.

01
Dubai pickup
Pickup at your hotel, home or chosen meeting point, then out of the city toward the Lahbab desert, about 50 minutes from central Dubai.
The exact window comes with your confirmation.
02
Dune bashing and sandboarding
Tyres down, seatbelts on. The driver takes the 4×4 over the red dunes in a run of climbs, drops and slides, then stops for sandboarding on an open slope.
Want it gentler? Tell the driver; the route adjusts for the group.
03
Desert photoshoot at sunset
The convoy stops on a high ridge as the sand turns deep orange. Take your time here; this light is the photo everyone takes home.
Sunset timing moves through the year; see the month table below.
04
Camel ride and camp arrival
A short camel ride when you reach the camp, then find a seat and a cold drink while the first show sets up.
A longer camel trek through the dunes is a separate option.
05
BBQ dinner and live shows
Dinner is a camp BBQ served while five live shows run through the evening: Tanoura, belly dance, Khaleeji, Debke and a closing fire show.
Water and soft drinks are included with dinner.
06
Return to Dubai
After the final show, your driver takes you back to your hotel. Most guests are dropped off around 9:30 PM, depending on traffic and route.
Leave your later plans loose. Traffic decides the last half hour.

Pickup and return
Pickup is mid-afternoon, usually around 3:00 PM, from your hotel or home in central Dubai. Drop-off is around 9:30 PM. Addresses further out may carry a surcharge, so ask us first. The exact window is on your confirmation.
Clothing and weather
Light clothes and shoes that can handle sand. Sunscreen and sunglasses. From November to March pack a layer; the desert gets cool after dark. Leave loose valuables at the hotel.
Food, drinks and requests
Dinner is a camp BBQ with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, plus water and soft drinks. Halal, allergies or other needs: tell us when you book and we confirm the menu for your date.
Children and capacity
Kids aged 3 and up pay the listed price. Under-3s ride free but still take one of the six seats, so give us every guest's age when you book.
Suitability and safety
Dune bashing is bumpy on purpose. If you are pregnant, have back or heart problems, or get carsick easily, tell us before booking and we will say what suits you. The driver can also take a gentler line if the group asks.
Cancellation and changes

Evening safari questions
Answers for this tour. Your confirmation has the final details for your date.
What is included in the evening desert safari?
Pickup and drop-off from central Dubai, dune bashing in a 4×4, a photoshoot, falcon photography, sandboarding, a camel ride, a camp BBQ dinner with five live shows, and water and soft drinks. A private 4×4 costs extra and is picked at checkout. VIP dinner is the camp-only option; quad biking is its own session.
How long is the evening desert safari?
About six hours door to door. Pickup is around 3:00 PM and you are back at your hotel around 9:30 PM. Your confirmation has the exact window for your address.
How much does the evening desert safari cost?
AED 149 per guest in a shared 4×4. A private 4×4 is priced per vehicle and seats up to six. A longer camel ride and other extras are priced separately and added at checkout.
Is the BBQ dinner halal, and can dietary needs be handled?
Dinner has vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Tell us about halal, allergies or anything else when you book and we confirm the menu for your date.
Is sandboarding included?
Yes, it is in the price, not an add-on. The guide picks the slope on the day depending on the wind and the group. Boards are provided, so you need nothing extra.
Can I add quad biking to the evening safari?
Not as an add-on on this tour today. Quad and buggy rides run as their own guided sessions with their own pickup. See the quad bike safari and dune buggy pages, or ask us about doing both on one day.
What should I wear for an evening desert safari?
Light clothes, closed shoes that cope with sand, sunscreen and sunglasses. From November to March bring a layer. The desert cools fast once the sun is down.
Can children join, and who should avoid dune bashing?
Yes, kids are welcome. Ages 3 and up pay the listed price; under-3s ride free but still take a seat. Dune bashing is not a good idea if you are pregnant or have back, heart or motion-sickness problems, so mention these when you book.
